To the hundreds of thousands of visitors from home and abroad, Porsche showcases the brand essence of “born on the racetrack ” with a future-oriented product strategy and a firm commitment to better serve the Chinese market with a customer-centric focus. The mock-up of Mission E Concept Study, which represents the future of Porsche, has its China premiere at the expo.

"The year 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China's Reform and Opening-up strategy, and it’s also the 70th anniversary of Porsche sports car. We are honored to participate in this high-level expo at such a historic moment," said Dr. -Ing, Jens Puttfarcken, President and CEO of Porsche China. “Porsche welcomes and supports the Chinese government's proactive measures to further open the market, such as the lowering of import tariffs, which will help us to provide better products and services to Chinese customers and enable more customers to experience the unique charm of Porsche."

As an important part of the Volkswagen Group (China), the largest car brand exhibitor at the expo, the Porsche booth features fascinating sports cars, E-mobility, and the most sought-after models in the Chinese market, demonstrating Porsche’s adherence to tradition and innovation, and the commitment to the brand concept of building authentic sports car. For the next decade, Porsche will take a product strategy of 3 pillars, covering optimized combustion engines, plug-in hybrid models and purely electric sports cars, each of which will undoubtedly follow the typical Porsche style.

At the ultimate sports car exhibition area, the new 911 GT3 RS and 911 Carrera 4 GTS are the best interpretation of Porsche's classic concept of “Intelligent Performance”, which is to translate racetrack victory into a street legal vehicle in the most intelligent way, and to build sports car for daily life drives. As one of the most powerful naturally aspirated road sports cars, the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS features a racing chassis with a 4.0-liter six-cylinder horizontally opposed engine with an acceleration of 0-100km in only 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h. The 911 Carrera 4 GTS is one of the most sporty and intense models in the 911 Carrera/911 Targa series, designed for those who value a personalized and sporty everyday driving experience.

The E-mobility zone demonstrates the latest in the evolution of electrification, digitalization and connectivity, combined with Porsche commitment to the heritage of the brand and continuous innovation. Porsche is the first manufacturer in the premium segment to offer hybrid systems in three different segments. Since the first launch of hybrid Cayenne in 2010, Porsche has invested heavily in hybrid and pure electric technologies, establishing a performance-oriented hybrid and electric technology strategy. At the same time, with the tough test of plug-in hybrid technology on the relentless racetracks, Porsche has accumulated a wealth of experience, and will enter the FIA Formula E, continuing the brand concept of “from the track to the road".

The highly anticipated Mission E Concept Study also make its debut with mock-up model in China at the expo. Its first production model and Porsche's first pure electric sports car, the Taycan, will be launched globally in 2019 and introduced to China in 2020. In addition, with the new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, Porsche is for the first time to have E-hybrid flagship model, taking the integration of ultimate performance and everyday practicality to a new height. The approach also demonstrates Porsche's confidence in the performance-oriented hybrid technology.

Since entering the Chinese market in 2001, Porsche has been committed to bringing the ultimate driving experience to Chinese car enthusiasts and culticating a sports car culture. At this year's expo, Porsche brings upgraded versions of models that are very popular among Chinese customers, including the new Macan, which has just made its world debut in Shanghai, and the third-generation Cayenne. At the upcoming Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, the first plug-in hybrid variant of the all-new Cayenne will kick off its pre-sales to meet the surging demand of Chinese consumers for high-quality new energy vehicles.

In addition to introducing Porsche's outstanding models to Chinese customers, Porsche China is also committed to creating an fascinating brand experience. Through platforms such as the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and the Porsche Experience Centre Shanghai, etc, we promote motorsports and car culture by allowing customers to further explore the pleasure of driving and increasing the understanding of cars and car culture. In the future, Porsche China will continue our dedication to the Chinese market to pass on the pure joy and passion of Porsche, and to support the development of China's automobile market and culture in the long run.
