Brand new features for unbeatable winter fun
Featuring new, meticulously designed snow and ice tracks, Snow Force 2018 is set to become among the most challenging and successful to date as participants join to take part in the exclusive Porsche event.
The all new Panamera commandeers the spotlight as it joins Snow Force for the first time this year, equipped with high-grip 4 mm spike tyres to tackle a newly created ice track fashioned after the Porsche Experience Centre Shanghai circuit dedicated solely for the model’s debut. With all 2-door sports cars equipped with 2 mm spike tyres, customers have an array of models and driving options to choose from, including a snowy replica of the Shanghai International Circuit.
As an industry benchmark, Snow Force defines Porsche’s pure Sports DNA
“Porsche‘s Snow Force event is extremely popular among fans and enthusiasts. Guests not only experience an array of Porsche cars, with different engine and wheel layouts, but they also receive a customised experience with upgraded event setups and services, ensuring ultimate enjoyment.” Director Public Relations and Press of Porsche China Jojo Tang said.
Displaying Porsche’s pure sports DNA in full force, customers will have access to the incredible performance, safety and control of every Porsche’s sports car under extreme driving conditions, including the iconic Porsche 911, the dynamic mid-engine sports cars 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman and the all new Panamera. With 52 Porsche sports cars available for use, this year also features longer driving sessions to allow participants more time on the track.
They will also get a sneak peak at the new Cayenne as it is displayed in the fully-equipped hospitality area. With a redesigned chassis, cutting-edge cockpit technology and unbeatable driving control, the all new Cayenne is a comfortable all-terrain SUV capable of handling extreme weather as well as everyday use – making Snow Force 2018 an ideal environment for showcasing the new model.
A Porsche experience beyond driving, beyond expectations
Joining as a special guest was 2018 Porsche China Junior Team driver Daniel Lu, who interacted with media by offering tips and insights into the difference between driving on normal tracks versus challenging ice circuits.
Complementing the flurry of outdoor activities, Porsche is collaborating with Microsoft to give participants a chance to test their driving skills in the virtual world as Porsche’s sports DNA is captured on the Xbox as a selection of models are featured in Forza Horizon 3.
