Grand Opening of the Third Porsche Centre in Xi’anPorsche China further enhances its dealer network in North-west China

Shanghai/Xi’an. On July 6, 2017, Porsche Centre Xi’an Baqiao opened with a grand celebration. As the third Porsche Centre in Xi’an, it further consolidates Porsche’s development in North-west China and underlines the brand’s value in this potential market. Mr. Dongxu Chen, Chairman of the board Xiamen C&D Automobile Co., Ltd; Mr. Tony Guo, Director Region North of Porsche China; and Mr. David Shi, General Manager of Porsche Centre Xi’an Baqiao, along with guests and journalists attended the ceremony to witness this memorable event.

Porsche Centre Xi’an Baqiao is spread across 11,077 square metres and includes a state-of-the-art showroom that is capable of simultaneously displaying 19 Porsche sports cars. The service centre consists of 15 work bays and 2 direct dialogue bays, and is equipped with world-leading diagnostic and repair equipment. Porsche Centre Xi’an Baqiao also boasts a professional sales and after-sales team, providing best-in-class global standards of service for every Porsche customer.

Porsche Centre Xi’an Baqiao is the first Porsche Centre invested by the Xiamen C&D Automobile Co., LTD in Xi’an. Mr. David Shi said, “Our cooperation with Porsche in China began in 2004. Over the past 13 years, in association with Porsche China, C&D Auto has cultivated an experienced team of professionals with a deep understanding of the Porsche brand. I believe that this is the cornerstone of the future development of Porsche Centre Xi’an Baqiao.”

Greeting the guests at the opening ceremony was the newly launched luxury sedan, the Panamera 4S Executive with Porsche’s pure sports gene. This model was presented at Porsche Centre Xi’an Baqiao for the very first time, and impressed with its powerful performance and luxurious comfort. Compared to the standard version of the Panamera 4S, the new Panamera Executive is characterised by a 150-millimetre wheelbase extension, taking the total dimension to 3100 millimetres. With this longer version, Porsche is satisfying the needs of customers who demand maximum space in the rear. In addition to the longer wheelbase, the Executive models can be distinguished by the extended standard equipment that includes a transparent panoramic roof, comfort seats with multi-way electrical adjustment and comfort headrests in the rear, heated seats in the front and rear, rear-axle steering developed specifically for the Panamera, Power Steering Plus, and ParkAssist including reversing camera, to bring a heightened comfort experience to customers. The new Panamera 4S Executive as well as the Panamera 4S with pure sports gene are equipped with a new 2.9-litre V6 bi-turbo engine that boasts 440 hp and a top speed of 289 km/h.

In addition, the legendary racing car, the Porsche 911 GT1 from the Le Mans race track was displayed in Xi’an for the first time. Just a few days ago, Porsche further defends its fame as record holder of Le Mans Champion by winning the 19th time, the third victory in a row. Every Porsche sports car is born on the race track. Porsche’s impressive sports cars, including the new 911 Carrera, Macan, the Cayenne and the new 718 Cayman, and the luxury sedan Panamera 4S with Porsche pure sports gene, were also displayed at the grand opening of Porsche Centre Xi’an Baqiao. With their rich heritage and pure sports gene, these powerful sports cars offer unmatched performance and incredible driving experiences to customers.
