The New Porsche Panamera now available for order in ChinaA true luxury sedan with pure sports gene

Shanghai. With its world premiere in Berlin, the new Porsche Panamera features a completely new development - a new expressive design, engines and transmissions redeveloped, as well as its display and control concept reinterpreted for the future. The second generation of the Gran Turismo has become a performance icon in its class – a true luxury sedan with pure sports gene. Today, Porsche announced that the new Panamera Turbo and 4S models are now available for order in China.

A Porsche has always impressed with more than just power; its efficiency is equally important. With the turbochargers and a unique central turbo layout, the new V6 and V8 twin-turbocharged engines of the new Panamera are more powerful, with quicker response and better fuel efficiency. The 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine of the Panamera Turbo develops 404 kW/550 hp and a maximum torque of 770 Nm, while the 2.9-litre V6 twin-turbocharged engine of the Panamera 4S develops a maximum power of 324 kW/440 hp and a maximum torque of 550 Nm. In addition, the perfected chassis system with highlights such as rear axle steering and three-chamber air suspension also unites the cruising comfort of a luxury sedan with the performance of a true sports car.

Porsche’s designers have also given the new model a more distinctive appearance. Clearly perceived rounded transitions and a sharpened sports car silhouette further emphasise the characteristics of a true Porsche. Equipped with the 12.3-inch touchscreen of the next generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, the interior of new Panamera looks clean and intuitive with cutting-edge technologies, which demonstrate the Mission of Porsche – Future Sportscar. Raising the comfort of Panamera, with Porsche premium quality, are new equipment options such as the panoramic tilt roof, massage seats, ambient lighting and a 3D high-end sound system from Burmester.

The new Panamera Turbo and 4S will arrive at Porsche Centres in China in early 2017, while the other models will not be available until the second half of next year. The detailed pricing for the new Panamera Turbo and the new Panamera 4S is as follows:
